The Post-Graduate Department of Education established as a self-financing department in the year 2016 has been converted to a regular P. G. Department from the session i.e., 2018-19. The Department is offering M. A. in Education with an intake capacity of 40. Besides, Three Year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. Course is also offered under self-financing mode as an Innovative Teacher Education Programme on due recognition from NCTE with 50 intakes since 2016-17. The department is also providing Ph.D. in Education Programme and M.Phil.in Education(SFC) Programme.

• To be the ultimate destination for prospective teachers, teacher-educators, and researchers ensuring multidisciplinary exposure, experiential learning, 21st-century skills, ICT-based pedagogy and professional ethics rooted in India who would have a sense of accomplishment and social commitment to make a difference in the global knowledge society as well as to create a peaceful, sustainable and humane society.

• 1) To redesign multidisciplinary curriculum by integrating appropriate knowledge, values, skills and technology; 2) To encourage students in community participation and sensitize them towards social cause; 3) To develop the attitude of professionalism by inculcating dedication, commitment, accountability & professional ethics in the students; 4) To conduct high quality multidisciplinary research that has tangible impact on policy, practice and professional learning locally, nationally, and internationally; 5) To enable the students to demonstrate their innovation proneness and develop entrepreneurship skills for their own employment as well as for productive contribution to the national economy.
