The Post Graduate Department of Library and Information Science has been started by Fakir Mohan University from the academic session 2017-18. It offers the course, Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) in self-financing mode. Currently, this course has an intake capacity of twenty four students. This is a professional course which has better job opportunities in various libraries and other sectors of the society. The curriculum and pedagogical structure of this program is a better one in the region. The curriculum and pedagogic structure of this program is designed in line with the emerging needs of the library profession and the constantly changing needs of the library sectors with an orientation of application of information technology and advance library services. This course is running successfully with a healthy academic environment now.
